Empfehlung von Yanko Design: Don`t get caught!

draftmedia in books

wwebdesigners_ideabookTwo weeks ago I received the mail that sonoramusic.de will be featured in the next ‘Web Design Index By Content’. Nice! Yesterday I got a mail from Patrick McNeil (designmeltdown.com). He`s publishing his book ‘Web Designers Idea Book’ in October – and draftmedia.de will be featured. I can`t wait to get a copy, I think it might be very interesting. Unlike the ‘Web Design Index’ titles, this book contains editorial content on the webdesign topic:

The ultimate guide to trends and patterns in web design. An encyclopedia of design for your inspirational pleasure. The book is a result of the site Design Meltdown and is a direct reflection of the trend tracking approach used there. The author, Patrick McNeil, runs Design Meltdown and a small host of other sites in addition to being a monthly writer for .Net magazine. Recently he was a guest speaker at the Future of Web Design conference. Patrick’s love for design and technology has fueled his passion for tracking industry trends.

So support him and preorder your copy – and have a look at page 94 ;)

Pimp my Macbook

macbook_goldComputer Choppers offers a very special – and expensive – kind of case modding. Their latest work is a Macbook Pro with a 24k gold surface and the apple-sign on the back of the monitor made of diamonds. The bling bling logo alone can be ordered at a price starting at 300$. I must admit: as much as I usually hate ignore casemodding – these maschines look really cool. However, for the Macbook I would prefer a silver (or platinum) surace rather than gold.
